Ivybrook Farm
Nestled in the McLaren Vale wine region, Ivybrook Farm is a family-owned winery, cellar door, and boutique accommodation that blends heritage, sustainability, and premium winemaking. Situated on the Fleurieu Peninsula coast, near Maslin Beach, the estate has been farmed by the Hunt family for five generations, preserving its rich agricultural history while embracing modern viticulture.
The Ivybrook Farm vineyard is just 3km from the coast, benefiting from varied soil types, elevations, and aspects that enhance the complexity and balance of its wines. The estate grows Shiraz, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and small parcels of Arinto, Mencia, Touriga, and Grenache, producing small-batch, handcrafted wines that reflect the cool maritime climate of McLaren Vale.
A standout feature of Ivybrook Farm is its Unclad range, affectionately named after the local nudist beach. These wines are micro-batch, skinsy ferments, and preservative-free reds, crafted with minimal winemaking inputs to highlight the natural purity of the fruit.
Visitors can experience the Ivybrook Farm Cellar Door, housed in a rustic stone barn built in 1898. Open Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 12pm – 5pm, the cellar door offers wine tastings, gourmet platters, and wood-fired pizzas, creating an atmospheric and intimate experience. Tastings are also available Thursday – Friday by appointment, allowing guests to explore the estate’s handcrafted wines in a relaxed setting.
Beyond wine, Ivybrook Farm offers luxury self-catering accommodation in its vineyard cottage, providing a peaceful country retreat on the coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Guests can enjoy the scenic surroundings, local wineries, and coastal attractions, making it an ideal destination for wine lovers and travelers alike.
